A vintage gold brooch in the shape of a small red insect, attached to a colorful handmade knotted friendship bracelet, embellished with gold bugle beads.
I found this brooch a few years ago in an antique shop in Old Leigh, Southend, England. I couldn’t resist something so bright and pretty, but it wasn’t until recently that I decided what to do with it. It’s now part of a beautiful friendship bracelet, with the colours red, green and yellow carefully chosen to complement the brooch. I then added gold bugle beads to pick out the geometric pattern, and make the bracelet just that extra bit sparkly and special!
The brooch is actually pinned rather than glued, so it’s easily removable and can be used in its own right!
